True, he Lied

Tears are shed
Shaking head
"I’ll be fine."
That’s my line
Heart does ache,
Smiles fake
Waves are weak,
Touches meek
"Are you OK?"
Not today
Give false nod
Help me God
Fading hope
Need to cope
Fibs have cost
Trust is lost
Handsome face
Blood does race
Pain inside
True, he lied

Raised Hopes Shot Down

I felt like I was flying
my soul walked on the highest plane of joy
Happiness I could barely comprehend
Raised Hopes

Shot.

down
I felt like I was dying.
my soul crawled on the lowest plane of despair
Misery I could barely stand
raised hopes shot down

The Well

A glimpse of a possibility
The possibility grows stronger
A rising of hope
The fear of a fall
A risky question
The upsetting answer
Hope falls
A well of depression
The depth only grows
Tears
Ache within the heart
Another glimpse of a possibility
Perhaps all is not lost
Hope reborn
Destroyed again
Hope and soul fall further into the well
A bottomless well
Life questioned
Answer unknown
Holding on
Soul is hurt
Must hold on
I cry out
He hears me
He pulls me out
I sit on the edge of the well
He comes and he goes
Will he help me?
I do not know
He tries,
but I am afraid of falling again
We dance around joy and grief
Remembering the pain,
I strike him with anger
He strikes me back
We part
I reach out to him
He slaps me away
We dance again
Fear is gone
Until
as we're dancing at a distance
I come closer
He looks at me
Puzzled
and he asks me,
"Do you not understand?"
I confess to him I do not
He brings me to the well again
as fear rises in me
He shoves me to the edge
as he says,
"Look there and then you will understand"
Re-enter the well?
No
How could I?
A fog blocks my view of what he wants me to see
All I know is,
when the fog clears,
I will fall again
How many times must I fall before I die?
